If I choose to manually arrange the button position in Order Ticket Designer window, the template can not be saved correctly. Next time when esignal is reopened, only one button is left and all other buttons are missing.

Try this...
I don't know for sure, but I think this is part of the "Beta Release Candidate" as a new feature, so I think this message should be posted in the BETA section under eSignal.
I'm stating this because I don't believe anyone has seen this yet - or has yet to reply. If I were you, I would report it under the "7 Series Beta" section. I have made a post there to direct people to this message.

Clearpicks, T32,
You are correct. We do know about the issue, and unfortunately could not get to it before the 7.4 release. We hope to have it fixed as soon as possible.Regards,

I've had a couple of other problems with this too. Firstly I have set up hotkeys to increase / decrease the Order Quantity, but unless I click once in the order ticket window and then use the hotkey BEFORE I do anything else, it wont work.
The second problem has only happened once, but I was using a Buy button configured to place market orders, and every time I clicked it, it created a Stop order. The problem stopped after I changed the symbol I was trading. This was using the ticket linked to the eSignal PaperTrader.

And another order entry problem today.....Limit order was filled by TWS, but disappeared from the eSignal order ticket which said that I had no position.
Also, is there any way around the popup that comes up when you place a trade for a new symbol for the first time? It appears to be completely pointless because every time you have to enter the symbol twice, and the route which is always the same. Given that this information is the same for every stock, is there no shortcut or default? At the very least it would be useful if the "Symbology" dialog showed the symbols that have already been added in alphabetical order, or prevented you from adding the same symbol twice - the whole process causes an awful lot of work for no apparent gain.
I really like the idea of being able to enter trades directly from the customised ticket on the chart window, but all these issues suggest it doesn't seem to have been very well thought through or tested, which spoils what would otherwise be an excellent feature.
Cheers,

Further update on the Limit order problem; after encountering this one again today, it looks like if you place a Limit order and the fill price isnt the order price (ie you get a better than limit fill), it doesn't show as a fill in the order ticket - it just disappears.

More problems with the integrated trading....
If I change the value of a stop order from the order ticket, and click update, the stop is updated in TWS but then disappears from the order ticket - therefore any further changes have to be made from TWS. This problem doesnt occur if trading with the paper trader instead of IB (but then you get all the other problems with prices changing when you scale out etc!)
Also, now when I add additional symbols to the Symbology table, they are not there when I go back to it. I can remove symbols, but if I edit existing ones or add new ones the changes do not appear in the list after I close it and go back to it. However, it seems that they are being applied because if I then trade one of these symbols, I don't get a popup asking me to fill in the symbology. Still need a way to avoid the symbology altogether, it seems a totally unnecessary step which just slows down trading.
Cheers,

Table,
thanks for the continued efforts on this. I stopped looking at it on the symbol pop-up thing. I sure hope they are able to get this working soon...there are a ton of IB/esignal customers that would be very happy to have point/click with IB

Todays problem of the day.....
Entered a sell Limit order which was filled so I was Short, but the order ticket informed me that I was Long, and not only that, but that I was Long 1,083,057,152 shares. I wrote the number down because this was truly my biggest position ever, even if it wasn't real!! Once I closed the position, it seemed to get it's knickers un-twisted and further positions were reported correctly.
I'm off to link my own order entry platform to the eSignal charts, this Integrated Trading thing has completely lost it's appeal.
