Tick playback not working with Forex symbols

I just tried a tick playback with some Forex symbols such as EUR A0-FX GBP A0-FX and found they won't playback. I just get a blank chart with "loading data" appearing. Stock symbols such as MSFT are no problem.

The tick playback is an excellent tool, but I mainly trade Forex so I'm somewhat disappointed. Am I doing something wrong or is this a glitch in the software?

The reason Forex symbols will not playback is due to the way they are quoted. Since only Bids and Asks are sent (no trades reported through Forex,) then only Quotes are exported with the Tick Downloader. We have notified our QA/Dev Teams about this, and until a better solution comes along, please allow me to offer a somewhat complicated (but effective) work-around.

1) Export the data as normal. (Be sure not to select "Save Trades Only")
2) Navigate to the saved EPF file, right-click it and select Open With... then Notepad (I prefer Editpad as it's much faster for this)
3) Click on Edit then Replace
4) Type in Q in the Find area and T in the replace area.
5) Once all the Q's are replaced with T's, save the file

Then replay using the newly edited replay file.

Thanks for your quick response and info for the temporary fix. I'm happy
with this arrangement and I look forward to a permanent fix in the next
version or a patch upgrade.
