synchronizing time

is it possible to synchronize the time of my computer more often with the time of the esignal servers besides starting the data manager?

Open Data Manager, select Data->Time from the main menu then check Synchronize Computer Clock. I believe that will keep your computer clock synced to the eSignal network.
