  • Real time charts

    Hello,
    this is my first day using eSignal

    I thoght the bars on the advanced charts were supposed to be drawn in real time( for example :bars getting longer upwards when the price was rising)
    Right now I'm only getting the chart renewed when I click OK with the CTRL pressed.
    Can anyone tell me how I can get it to draw in real-time?

    Welcome to eSignal! With a real time subscription, the charts do update in real time. In order to look at this further, I think it best to check your account. If you could please private message me your account number I'll look into this further.

      If the market is open or actively trading you should have some evidence the chart is updating. It does it automatically. Check at the bottom right and see if you have "OK" and a green color showing on your eSignal softward status bar. Just curious.

      What chart and time frame are you looking at? Attached is a sample chart.

        OKs on the bottom

        thank you for your reply.
        Yes, I do have both green OKs on the bottom of the window.
        I was looking at Nasdaq stocks such as ERTS, MERQ, MSFT in the 1 minute charts. Whenever I open a new chart, it shows bars up to that point, but no new bars come up.
        Level 2 windows were working OK, though they're problably from another data server, I suppose.
        I also checked the System Status and they were all "normal".

          Hi YKK,

          O.K., I have checked your account and you are all set up to receive real time data. Are you still experiencing this problem today? If you are, we may need to have you call into support.

            Yes, it's the same situation as yesterday.
            BTW,
            is "time and sales" supposed to be updating automatically as well?
            Because they aren't on mine.

                I finally got the charts and the time & sales working real-time now!
                The problem came from the settings in the Data Manager.
                It seems I was connected to the delayed data server.
