    how can i get an alert for when a 3 day exponentional moving average, crosses a 9 day exponential average?

    Until you get a better answer, click here to read a chat on how to use eSignal alerts. Look for the "eSignal Chat 05-06-03.doc" and click on it. It may not answer your specific question, but it really is good 'ALERT' reading.

      The easiest solution is to code the efs with the Formula Wizard as the process is virtually point and click.
      Alternatively, if you want to be able to modify any of the parameters of the moving averages through Edit Studies, you can use the basicMAx2.efs that is available by clicking here. In this case there are some comments in the efs that should help you in creating your conditions.
