The overhead of addLineTool

I noticed it was said in a thread that too many lines drawn on the charts may significantly slow down the eSignal speed because it requires more CPU resource to manage them. My question is whether those lines drawn by addLineTool() and drawLineRelative() shall consume the same ammount of CPU resource so that slow down the CPU performance significantly?

My understanding of this is yes, these lines have the same impact as other lines on a chart. Keep in mind that it's not just a handful of lines that cause a problem, but upwards of a few hundred is when a user might begin to see a difference.
