  • Daily FX charts still do not work right!

I have reported this BUG before. Nobody has gotten back to me. The daily bar for EUR a0-fx shows late trading from tonight (10/10). Friday's trading is lost currently on the system. CHF a0-fx is showing the same thing right now. WHEN WILL SOMEBODY FIX THIS!?!

    Hi,
I had similar problems losing part of the days trades on 6 hour charts but not on 1 hour charts. I live in time zone GMT + 2 central european time. I set my PC tme to + 6 hours from local to have Chicago times showing everywhere. Totally confused support and my charts. Used 0 24 time templates tried everything. Then moved my clock back to local time and got almost all the data but I do still get gaps sometimes in longer term charts when there are no gaps in 5 min charts. FX is 24 hrs right. Its atrick problem and testers need to test with different time zones set and not connected their servers with times co-ordinated to their price servers. Who are the FX data suppliers and what time zone are they in? London? NY? Does it matter?

      sposer,

This is a known bug and affects any daily charts that have a symbol that trades nearly 24 hours (Globex futures, FOREX, etc.). Essentially, what is occurring is for the period from the beginning of the new "day" to midnight, esignal does not create a new bar, but instead continues with the existing bar (which by this time should be treated as "yesterday"). It is only when the new calender day (as of Midnight Pacific Time) begins that the daily chart is displayed correctly.

We hope to have this fixed soon.
      Regards,

Thanks. That is maybe what you see in your time zone OK. But what I see is not a continuation of the old bar. I get a vertical price gap, like a market bar with High 99 Low 98 Close 99 and the next bar opens gap up at 101 H 102 L99 c101. Nothing inbetween, but go to smaller time increments and the data shows fine. Maybe you area sleep when we see this in Europe. Also another known feature is that the close of the pit session is repeated at the end of an electronic session which can put false points on PnF charts, ruin strategies and give false real time PnL. I know I could go around time filtering them out but im lazy, I'd like it in a config somewhere so i can just trust the ace session etc #Fs

Thanks Jay. Last time I posted about this, the esignal person that responded was not aware of the bug. I hope it will be fixed soon. It is a major hassle, to say the least. Is there anyway that I can get notification when it is fixed? Thanks.

Is there any update on this issue? Has this been resolved for all cases ie. including the FX markets?

              thanks
