  • Esignal volume in Forex for real?

One of the first things a new Forex trader will learn is that when trading Forex, it is supposedly not possible to have a valid volume indicator.
I have posted an Esignal chart in my favorite Forex forum with the volume indicator on and now I have received several emails by members, who wanted to know about this indicator, since they, like me thought it is not possible to have such an indicator in Forex.
Could someone enlighten us please if these volumes are for real and where the data is coming from? Again, I was told that the banks will not disclose their real volumes when trading Forex.

Here's an FAQ that answers your question.

I'm seeing the volume histogram update on Forex issues. What does that volume represent?

The volume histogram for Forex issues represents the number of transactions or ticks and not true "trade size" activity. It's much like most futures contracts, where the volume histogram reflects the volume of transactions or updates during each given interval.
