Interactive Brokers

I am mainly trading through Interactive Brokers. I am satisfied with them, but the interface into esignal does not really work well. It hangs quite often, seems to slow down the system or somehow seems unwieldy

I am not using the interface basically.

Have you made any better experiences? What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for your post. I'm unclear as to what is hanging. Is it the interface window? eSignal itself? Also, what version are you currently running?

Hi Andy,

I am using eSignal 7.1 and TWS 784.6 (version 4).

When I use "order entry" after logging in, the TWS either creates an "Excel" page without properly processing the order. Sometimes, it does not react at all. Or the login does not work at all (without error message though).

The broker window works for my orderbook and portfolio, but the data stops to update after some time (15 minutes to 3 hours).

The interface is okay to show people that my news provider features my broker, but it does not enhance my trading in any way (which it could if I were able to click on the ask on esignal to buy the listed contract through IB etc.)
