the link feature

Hi,
I am using 7.4 for the first time and can't figure out how to set up the symbol link feature between my quote window and the other windows in the layout.
Is there information anywhere on this or can someone help please?
If someone can point me to a "how to use" kind of doc that'll be very helpful for future reference.
Also I didn't find this topic in the help file of the software.
