  • 1/100th Commodities

    Hi All

I'm having a problem with the scaling on commodities including the spreads. The values are 100th of what they should be, i.e. 57.10 is displayed by ESignal, when the true price is 5710.

It might not sound much, but when working out the difference between 2 commodities - it throws everything out

Any help would be much appreciated

    Hi FTSE,

Can you tell us what version of eSignal you are on and provide a few specific examples?

    Thanks.

      Hi Scott

I was running 7.5 Beta 3, but I've now upgraded to 7.5 gold and it has thrown the price the other way. Attached is a chart for Lean Hogs Apr and Feb. According to REFCO.com the price of LH J4 is 5710.

      7.5 version 3 said it was 57.10
      7.5 Gold says 57100

What is really confusing is that the difference between the 2 (shown as black on the chart) shows 3.3 which is way out

      Hope this explains it better

        FTSE Beater
The minimum tick in Lean Hogs is 0.00025 hence 57100 would be correct (if no decimals are used) as shown in the enclosed image taken from the CME web page.
As to spreads these usually plot in eSignal with the decimals in the appropriate place. 3.3 is the result of 57.100-53.800
        Hope this helps.
        Alex
