I agree, this one could be difficult. And frankly, I'm getting weary of having to debug vendor's software without compensation. I design hardware and software for a living and if my products had as many bugs as some of the crappy software out there, I'd be out of a job. I'm not putting eSignal in that same category . . . yet. But so far, I'm not impressed.

Thanks for your interest Steve. Do you know if "page1" (the originator of this thread) solved his problem?

I have my ZoneAlarm Pro configured (under Program Control/Programs) to allow eSignal Data Manager for Access and Server to allow Internet (as well as Trusted). As you said it's probably not a firewall issue but if you get passed the auto close problem those settings have worked fine for me for over a year. I had a similar problem with a corrupt layout. BTW I'm still on 7.5
