hi all,
hmm.. i thought i posted the question. ig uess it didn't work.
anyhow, i set the the cursor to "cursor tracking". buthow do i set
so that the horizontal and vertical axes display the "moving
numbers" as you move the mouse around?

Right click on the Cursor Window and select Properties.
At the bottom of the dialog box put a check mark in the box "Show Cursor Labels in X and Y Axis" (see attached image)
