How can I set up the back testing period ? For example, I want to back testing from March, 1 2000 to May 30, 2003

Currently, it's not possible to define a specific historical date range within the backtesting feature. The feature pulls the data currently on the chart that is to be back tested. Say if you wanted to back test from March 1, 2000 to the present then you could set up a time template that pulls in the number of bars to go back to that date. In this case, the chart would have to be a daily chart, not interval.
There may be a creative work around involving EFS programming that can accomplish what you need simply by ignoring data after a particular date, but not being an expert in EFS / JavaScript programming, I can't say for sure it's possible.
