the max drawdown (in the strategy analysis of backtesting feature). for instance if i'm backtesting the Q's, and I set it up for 1000 share default trade size, the first trade alone should cost me 30k+. yet, in the strategy analysis report the # is much much lower. can somebody explain this?

Before you do that, let me explain that the trade size does not take into account the units per contract with futures. You have to enter the multiple yourself. So if there are 100 units per contract and you want to trade 1,000 contracts, enter 100,000 for the default lot size.Jason K.
