  • Jumping to a date in tickdata ?

    Hi all,

I am new to eSignal and I wasn´t able to resolve my question in the help section.

How can I jump to a certain date in advanced charting mode with tickdata time-interval?

For example I´d like to see the tickchart of May 1..
It´s pretty tedious to scroll the window in tickview to this date lol..

    Thank you in advance !

At this time it is not possible to go to a specific date/time in a chart.
You can however speed up considerably the scrolling speed by pressing the <Ctrl> key while scrolling.
Also FYI only 10 days of tick data are available in Advanced Charts.

To add to Alex's comment as an FYI, version 7.7 (due out in mid to late June) has quite a few changes in the Time and Sales window and one of them is the ability to check a specific date/time period in the past for the trade history. The data from time and sales should match what you're seeing in a tick chart so at least you'll have that option if you're doing some research.

Being able to pre-select what date range displays in a chart is on our development list by the way.

      Thanks.

        good news

        Hi,

thanks Alexis and ScottJ for the quick response!

That is good news! This function will also reduce the unnecessary traffic load of the servers that is produced by this annoying scrolling action in the chart window.

        Regards

        Andreas
