Can one set alerts for $PLAYBACK?

I'm trying to simulate real time trading in order to practice some strategies. I want to set alerts for the $PLAYBACK symbol for my entry and exit targets, but $PLAYBACK seems to be exempt from alerts! Is this true, or is there some way to do this?

If you are referring to the Alerts that are set by clicking the icon with the yellow bell or by clicking View->Alerts then those do not work in Bar or Tick Replay.
However, it is possible to replicate some of them with efs which will work in Tick or Bar Replay

Yep, that's exactly what I was referring to. I did figure it must be possible to do it with an efs as well, but my efs skills are still quite limited. Any chance that efs exists already somewhere?

Try running a Search for JayF as the User Name (Match exact name) and alert as the keyword and you should find an alert at X efs which allows you to set alerts for specific price levels.
