I can't seem to get a correct volume study for ES, ERT and EC. The only thing that seems to show is Tick Volume, but then, doesn't always show. Any advise? Thanks!

What type of chart do you have up, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Intra-day, etc?
If you are viewing those symbols in a intra-day chart, Volume will not show up, we don't support it yet.
However, in an update that is coming out next week, we will support Volume on Intra-day charts for Electronically traded symbols.
So in your case, those symbols would have Intra-day volume next week, but for EC, you would have to use GEC, since EC is the composite Pit and Electronic, and GEC is just electronic.
ES and ERT can be used as is.Last edited by JimE; 10-29-2004, 09:26 AM.

In case you are wondering.... The computation for the tick volume study simply counts the number of ticks during the interval specified on the Intraday chart. This study only works on intraday charts. For example, if you are monitoring a 5-minute Intraday chart, the tick volume study counts the number of ticks that occurred during that 5 minute trading interval. So for every tick, tick volume increments by 1.
Volume is different and is a count of contracts that change hands. 50 contracts can be traded in a single tick, so it is possible for tick vol to increment by 1 and volume to increment by 50 in one tick...
Once 1.95 is released, the best way to understand these 2 studies relationship is to apply them both to the same intraday chart and watch.
