Hi,all!
In futuresource workstation i do not understand how can we see
optons on some futures contracts.For example:
We have options on Euro every month but futures contracts we have only 4 during a year. Usually if I want to see options on future contract I open option board and put in the underlier contract and then see options.BUT
if I want to see October Euro Options or November Euro Options?
Their underlier is DECEMBER Future contract and if i put it in
I can see only december options but not october and november!!
May be somebody knows how can i see it?

In the OptionBoard you don't specify the Underlyer when you put the symbol in, what you specify in the Month and Year of the Options you want to see.

So if you want to see October options, then you would enter:

Root V6

BUT:
If I put EC U6 or EC V6 (with a space between) I can not see
greeks,
and if I put ECU6 without space ,I can see greeks but it does not work for ECV6 or ECX6,only for ECU6 and ECZ6 (months that have futures contracts and options,but not only options)

Hi,

I am unsure why the day symbols EC U6 & EC V6 are not showing greeks, we can check on it.

For the time being, you can use the Composite symbol in the optionboard, which will give the same results:

QEC U6
QEC X6
QEC V6
Etc...

I would like to ask you to check also all currency options because
for Jap.Yen (JY u6,JY V6 etc. ) I can not see greeks both JY and QJY symbols

To answer your first question, what is composite?

EC for example has sessions of 5:00pm - 7:19am and 7:20am - 4:00pm.

So for Symbol EC - It reflects data for just 7:20am - 4:00pm.

For Symbol QEC - It reflects data for both sessions 7:20-4:00pm and 5:00pm-7:19am.

To clarify so you don't confuse what the symbol differences are between ones that have a space between MY and ones that Dont:

Our Symbology is changing as we integrate ticker infrastructures. The symbols with Space between them will be our new format.

This new format for entry will be required in the next couple weeks, and old symbology will no longer be valid.

Now about your question with JY. There are couple things going on with JY Options, Becuase the CME won't be making some changes that are required, we have to make changes on our end. This means that for right now, the symbols with Space in them will not display greeks. However you can still pull them up in Workstation with a work around. Enter them as FS@JYV6.

In the coming weeks we should have the symbols with a space ironed out, but doing the work around I mention above will allow you to still get data until that happens.

Sorry but even after istalling update I can not see greeks for Jap.Yen Future Option (also by FS@JYV6)
Canadian dollar also I can not see and Swiss Franc too
What is going on?
Is this the best software or not?
