FRANKLY WHEN THE LEGACY VERSION IS DONE AWAY WITH, I WILL BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS BECAUSE THE NEW VERSION IS UNUSABLE TO ME. PLUS IT HAS NO SMOOTHING FILTER FOR MY MAIN INDICATOR THAT I USE, WILLIAMS %R. THE LEGACY VERSION DOES. WHY DONT YOU CONTINUE TO OFFER THE NEW LIVECHARTS TO THOSE WHO HAVE FOUND A USE FOR IT, AND CONTINUE TO ALSO OFFER THE LEGACY VERSION TO THOSE SUBSCRIBERS WHO HAVE BEEN WITH YOU FOR YEARS AND ONLY HAS USE FOR THE OLD STYLE. IT'S A WIN-WIN PROPOSAL. YOU SATISFY BOTH INTERESTS AT THE SAME TIME. IF YOU CAN OFFER THE LEGACY VERSION NOW, YOU CAN CAN CONTINUE TO OFFER IT. ITS NOT LIKE IT DOESNT WORK AND IT HAS TO BE ELIMINATED. OFFER BOTH SERVICES. I MYSELF AND I'M SURE MANY OTHER SUBSCRIBERS WOULD EVEN BE WILLING TO PAY MORE TO CONTINUE TO USE THE LEGACY VERSION. I WILL SAY HOWEVER IF THE COMPANY IS BENT ON CLOSING THIS SERVICE, I AS WELL AS MANY OTHER SUBSCRIBERS MAY BE FORCED TO PURSUE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THE COMPANY. THIS MOVE BY THE COMPANY WILL ESSENTIALLY PUT MANY OF YOUR SUBSCRIBERS OUT OF THE TRADING BUSINESS. PLEASE RECONSIDER YOUR STAND ON REMOVING THE LEGACY VERSION OF LIVECHARTS.
      i second that.

Having handled many conversions over the years, we are keenly aware that change can be disruptive to users so we do all we can to make transitions as transparent as possible. In the case of LiveCharts, we continue to make additional enhancements to the new service in response to customer feedback. We should have another version ready soon that will allow multiple symbols to be charted at the same time (a frequent request).

In the case of LiveCharts, in order to keep the legacy version running, we'd have to maintain the legacy network, server infrastructure, and maintain the code base to name just a few things. Without this transition to eSignal network infrastructure, it would not be financially prudent to keep the legacy service going. The costs simply far exceed the revenue.

Customer feedback has been essential in all our conversion efforts so I hope users will continue to give us specific thoughts and ideas on how we can make the conversion as smooth as possible for all.

        Thank you.

the joke here is that so far i haven't seen one single decent explanation why at all you had to make a new version of livecharts.

you removed - and i have to write this again and again - a lot of the real good features - why?

you changed the look - why?

all in all you changed the product so that it is much more complicated to use in every way.

and because of that you increase price - how "great".

(it would have been enough to move the original livecharts to the new network - add a better datafeed and that's it - maybe - but only maybe - THAT would have been a reason for a higher price...)

you guys do not understand what this is all about. wake up.

            another example:

i bet there are a lot of traders who would simply opt for a version without that ridiculous long list of dozens of indicators - all those lag anyway.

Since acquiring 2 other companies over the past 4 years, we've been supporting three distinct codebases for java charts. We have also been supporting the back-end infrastructure of three different platforms (distinct servers, co-lo facilities, staffing, etc) and that is simply not cost-effective in either the short or long term.

We chose the most flexible platform and our most reliable network and have been working towards converting since those choices were made. As noted before, it's difficult to replace a platform with an identical interface so changes are inevitable.

By consolidating to one java platform, all our development efforts can be focussed on improvements and enhancements.

              Thanks.

                hard to understand.

and no reason to remove all the good features of the original version.

                NO reason!

                  I THIRD that.

Charge me double/triple or quadruple per month if you must but keep the old version please!!!!!

The bars and feeds are not the same - even for the same time. I am beside myself with this already.

one thing is clear by now:

nobody who actually trades or even has any slight knowledge about trading was involved in the development of this "new" product...

you obviously don't understand: i want it the way it was before (no adjusting of spyce between bars - this is nonsense) - i want to be able to enter a WIDTH OF - SAY 2000 - to view the ENTIRE session on a 1.min chart - so that i get a horizontal SCROLL BAR that makes this possible - this was removed last december - and i don't know why.

                      2. filtering time and sales:

                      this is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

                      3. more than 1 session:

                      -- see no. 2.

                      4. you don't understand AGAIN:

i know the current options - but they are not enough - adding a 4th can't be such a problem. all us-trading refers to ny-time - so ...

                      5. again - that's not enough. cme equity minis rfer to the ny stock market - where regular trading is done from 9.30 - 16.00 ny-time. leave it just like it is NOW with the old version - it's great that way. why change - WHY??? why different symbols for the same market - absolutely weird!!

                      6. login - cumbersome - old version is better.

                      7. there is an "error" with delayed markets since 2006 and you only discovered that recently - what is going on over there?

so all in all - i don' understand what kind of people come up with such ideas - removing such a great product and replace it with something that is new but not better. nobody understands this.
do you want to satisfy and keep your customers - or not???
i am still waiting for an answer to all my questions.

i do not get the impression that those esignal guys actually want to improve their product.

i do not think that they want to keep their customers - let alone get new ones.

freestyle, Just letting you know that my 'All Sessions' button works. Are you sure you've got the time period set for an intraday period?

Oh. Sorry freestyle. It works for me using regular stock symbols.
                              I don't know about cme e-minis.

I do know the frustration of having our LiveCharts changed.

no problem - thanks for your answer.

actually this button is not one of the bigger problems that i have with that product - it is just one of MANY absurd things.

                                good luck
