  • takes MUCh too long to switch between symbols or time intervals

is anyone else having problems when switching between symbols or time intervals?

i mean cme minis: ES, AB, NQ, MC

i noticed this right from the start last week - the new version takes sometimes very very long to switch.

this hopefully will get better very soon.

Is this problem still occurring? If so can you take a look in your Java Console to see what server(s) you are seeing this on?

      thank you for your answer.

yes it is still there - even now that there is no trading.

sombeody from your tech. staff told me this is due to high volume periods - well - it is not obviously.

someone else from tech. told me yesterday it is due to more cpu usage from the new version. that is not true either. my system is more than good enough for it.

      must be something else then.

      does that help you?:

      "Server Name = LC-B-08
      Server URL = lc-b-08.esignal.com"

        much better today.

obviously a problem of one (or some) of your servers.

        today:

        Server Name = LC-B-05
        Server URL = lc-b-05.esignal.com

        Server Name = LC-B-09
        Server URL = lc-b-09.esignal.com

            problems get bigger and bigger.

today it is sometimes impossible to get any chart at all.

this problem is basically still unsolved.

it takes - no matter for which symbol or index - for example very long to get a 240min. or 120min. chart - very strange thing.

Are you seeing the same issue after market hours? You might want to contact Customer Service with more information on this so someone could document it and track the times.

                      sometimes yes - sometimes no.

as mentioned below - it takes very long to get a 240min or 120min, ... chart, etc.

i think it must have to do with some of your servers, or whatever.

                        Hey Freestyle,
Just curious - have you done any Internet path analysis with a tool like PingPlotter (www.pingplotter.com)?

I've used it a fair amount and it really works good for seeing what is exactly between your computer and the (in this example) LiveCharts servers.

I was just curious if you'd taken a look at any analysis like that?

                          should this remove the problem?

Not necessarily - it's more of a troubleshooting step. PingPlotter allows you to visually see each and every hop between the computer sitting on your desk and the server on the Internet, whether it's an LC server or any other server (computer) on the web.

Then you look at the path and see if it's clear or not.

I've used it before and it's been helpful. In the land of streaming data - the data has to flow and if it can't - whether it's a bad LC server or a problem in getting to that server - then the client application will have problems.

why was my post deleted??? and who did it?

i wrote that this issue is still unsolved.

there are problems EVERY day with slow servers.
