  • More Data Problems

TSM - Detailed Quote says it is up $4.26. The Daily and Weekly charts are in line with that number ... but it is incorrect. A 5 min chart is correct, showing a closing yesterday at $9.79, which coincides with other sources. I believe this is an ex-div date for TSM, and I would guess that has something to do with the problem.

    Server Name = LC-B-03

I have tried two servers, and they are both showing the same information.

I tried to attach two screenshots, but they are not showing on the preview (I am probably doing something wrong) ... if you cannot duplicate the incorrect data, let me know and I can email them.

    Hi There,

    Thanks for your post.

I may have picked this up a little late...sorry for the delay...
My daily, intraday and quotes data are all in sync.

Coudl you please check and then report back, if you are continuing to experience difficulties with your data.

    Kind Regards,

      Shaheed,

Thank you for your response. Yes, you were a few days too late to see the problem. I have emailed several screenshots to Luis in eSignal Support (at his request) about two weeks ago. I have not heard back from him. As I look at the charts now, $INDU is showing to be down 10,438.20 for the day, and $COMPQ showing to be down 2070.65. I am guessing that is not correct. I also sent Luis a screen shot yesterday of Time and Sales showing a duplicate trade, quite easy to verify as there was only one trade for that symbol, and the total volume matched one of the trades showing ... not both.

The current problem on the indexes is interesting, because if I leave one symbol on the screen, it continues to post the wrong information in T&S. If I click to another symbol and go back to the index symbol, T&S has the correct information, but the next tick brings up a bad number. Also, I just took a screenshot of T&S showing a bid and an ask for $INDU ... something that seems a little odd for an index.

If there is a better person to send these to, please PM me with the contact information, and I will be glad to do so. The errors are NEVER across all symbols ... in fact, they are somewhat isolated. But as long as errors are occurring on a regular basis, it is hard to be confident in any of the information.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

        Data Mismatch

On the attached image, you will see that there is a significant discrepancy between the "Change" for $INDU between the Portfolio, which matches Detailed Quote, and the Hot List. There are small discrepancies most of the time, such as what you see on $COMPQ, which I assume are due to a difference in updating frequencies ... but this is certainly more than could be explained by that theory.

Any ideas on why WM has not upgraded the "Last" price in the Portfolio and Detailed Quote? Other symbols where I am seeing the same thing are ZVUE, BZH, KEY, XMSR, FRE ... just to name a few.

          Thank you for your help.

Could you indicate which server you are connected to? I'm on LC-H-10 and WM is keeping up with me right now chart vs quote window vs T&S value right now is 3.62

              Very Interesting ...

              I am on:
              Server Name = LC-H-10
              Server URL = lc-h-10.esignal.com

And still showing the Last Price of 4.65 ... I will attach a current screen shot. Also, the ones that have not changed have the little C beside them, which I have interpreted as meaning there has been no volume, even though I have not been able to locate that in the documentation.

              Running:
              Vista
              IE 7.0.6000.16681
              Java Plug-in 1.6.0_07
Using JRE version 1.6.0_07 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

                bcompere,

My set up is running XP SP3, and IE 6.0 with JRE 1.6.0_05.

I went to a vista machine with IE 7.0.6000.16681 with JRE 1.6.0_03 and it didn't have the problem, I upgraded that java to 1.6.0_07 and didn't see the problem in that version (always going to LC-H-10).

Perhaps it's related to some kind of firewall on your system, I sent you a PM requesting your java console information (trace level 5) so maybe engineering can detect something there.

no idea what the server it is as it scrolled off the java console

are your servers providing different versions of the applet ?

                          Missed the title.

There aren't different versions of the applet, but different LiveCharts servers will be connected to different data servers that feed different types of data.

Each server is connected to a server that feeds daily historical data, interval historical data, current data etc.

Clicking the copy button in the java console and pasting the results in a notepad is a way to view the server if you are unable to scroll near the top due to having the console update too fast.

If it's missing current data but the data appears after going back to the symbol for instance would represent data from different servers, the refresh would be with historical data server.

                            Todd,

                            Update:

Just for fun, I just exited the application, deleted history and temporary internet files (but did not delete cookies), and re-entered. Fot the same server ... LC-H-10 ... and all of the files in the portfolio updated to today's closing price.

I am now getting a constant stream of error messages in the Java console that say:

I XXXX's out where i has my username and a password. It prints this sequnce of four lines about every 35-40 seconds. Perhaps this will mean something to someone ... I won't know until tomorrow if the last price continues to update. Also, when I re-entered, all of the Red X's were eliminated as well.

In case it is a question that might come up, I have not changed the security settings on IE since the new application came on line.

                            Hope this is helpful
