now you dont and it also results in the chart not being shown for TICKER and TnS display is blank as well

if you type a ticker into the chart the syncing works
if you select an already typed in ticker with your mouse then it doesnt sync across all the windows
please change this soon.
and it would be great if to step from the symbol window to the time interval window by using the tab - key (like in 2.0 ...).

to step from the symbol entry field to the time interval entry field.

Heard back from Engineering:
In this build Engineering reversed settings for Ctrl+Enter vs Enter operations.
Symbols entered in the symbol field of a window will now link to linking enabled windows via the Enter key (instead of Ctrl+Enter).
However the <symbol>, <Interval> (e.g., AAPL, 10) is now associated to Ctrl+Enter.
They indicated that it would be difficult to now have "Enter" process both symbol and interval requests at the same time.
Regarding the use of TAB to jump from the Symbol box to the Aggregation (Interval) box.
Engineering indicated it's something they'll consider for a later release.
They did point out that just entering a letter, will display the "quick symbol entry window," and entering a comma (,) or a forward slash (/) will pop up the "quick aggregation entry window." (see image at bottom of post)
They also acknowledged that they missed reversing how the Enter key works for the "quick symbol entry window" such that it currently doesn't link to other windows, and Ctrl+Enter is still needed for this window to link.
Regarding selecting a symbol from the drop down isn't sending the symbol to all linked windows.
They indicated that they don't anticipate it will require a big change to support this feature in the next release.
For the time being, after selecting a symbol from the drop down, hit enter to push that to the linked windows.
Regarding the request to get back real time volume for futures in the Detailed Quote.
Engineering indicated we used to show "cumulative volume" previously. You can right click, go to fields and then to customize to add that field.
Also going to the "Display Properties" window for the Detailed Quote Window, you can enable the "Instrument Type Specific Fields" box, which will have different fields for different instruments (stocks, futures).Last edited by eSignal_ToddI; 03-01-2011, 11:10 AM.

when's the next anticipated release ?
what about allowing the import of a ticker list for the chart frame ?
"They indicated that it would be difficult to now have "Enter" process both symbol and interval requests at the same time."
Seems to me that this isn't an improvement over 2.0 expecially since it waas easy enough to implement in 2.0
How do we clear the list of Tickers in the Chart Frame ? the list just keeps growing and growing and ...
back to using 2.0 here - i hope you keep 2.0 around for more than just today or tomorrow - it's a better product for now IMO

realtime volume: what do you mean with "right click" - "fields" - etc.? i simply want it like it works in version 2.0. currently this is NOT possible. example: volume for symbol "NQ H1=2" is "0" and for "NQ H1" it is "350K". so i hope you see that we have a problem here.
we expect version 3.0 to have all features of 2.0 - plus whatever.
obviously some people do not understand how cumbersome it can be for the user to lose this or that feature.

"350K" is yesterdays volume. (should actually be displayed for the "=2"-symbol at this time ("non-RTH"). -- 2.0 says "346011" for "NQ H1=2" !!
for "NQ H1" it should display current volume since beginning of new session yesterday evening. -- 2.0 says "8289" for "NQ H1" !!
please do us a favor and keep 2.0 going for the next few weeks or so and hurry up to bring 3.0 to the level of 2.0.
these are some very important things for daily handy usage.

"They indicated that it would be difficult to now have "Enter" process both symbol and interval requests at the same time."
engineering said it would be 'difficult' - that doesn't mean they can't make it work but it apparently means they don't want to be bothered with it
here's my solution to the problem
1) parse TICKER , INTERVAL to retrieve TICKER and INTERVAL values in Chart Frame text object
2) update TICKER , INTERVAL in Chart Frame text object with parsed TICKER text and simulate ENTER by passing TICKER to TICKER HANDLING method
3) update INTERVAL text with parsed INTERVAL text only and simulate ENTER by passing INTERVAL to INTERVAL HANDLING method
now how 'difficult' is that ?
this reminds me of the problems with 2.0 after having used Quotecom's originally Livecharts for years prior
i again have to wonder where their engineering staff is located - India ? or China even ?
difficult to imagine that a wwek in QA didnt catch these problems
