chart doesnt change to new symbol

The new version of charts is working well for me, I've been using them for a couple weeks. Except suddenly this week when I type a new symbol into a chart and press 'enter', the chart does not change to the new symbol unless I change the time frame.
Can anyone help me fix this annoying problem?
