Rays are now black

I notice that the default color for rays is now black, though for lines it is still red.
Was this a user request?

I prefer red for rays (the old default), and now require extra mouse clicks to get it.

By accident, I discovered how to change the default on rays, or on any other object:
double click on a ray, or on a price bar or other object, and a properties menu pops up with a defaults submenu which enables default control.

This all points to the need for a comprehensive user manual for this intricate software.
