we are using FS Xtra and we recently realized the our clearing house (fortis) is charging $256 a month to use it. Is this how much it really costs, or are we getting ripped off? $256 a month seems pretty high for such a limited java based charting software. Besides on FS's website it says Xtra is $90 a month.

The price of $90.00 is the base price in addition to the base price there are exchange fees that are additional. Depending on the exchanges that you are receiving exchange fees could exceed several hundreds of dollars.
So are you getting ripped off that is a difficult question it depends on what exchanges you are enabled to receive.
