  • QCharts ver 5.1.0.5 won't connect?

QCharts won't connect this weekend. It keeps trying to connect to continuum.4 and.5 and .6 and the failed connection refused message comes up at the bottom.

However. on another computer version 5.1 does connect. Please advise?

Often on the weekends, and sometimes during the week, the servers are under maintenance and are set to Not do the download of the full server list, i.e. the file continuumclient.ini (CC.ini)

There are several reasons why one's local server list (CC.ini) could be incomplete, not having the full list of servers available for QCharts(or any QFeed application) to choose from on initial start or the user to choose from on a ctrl-alt-N.

The easiest way to deal with errant, or short local server lists, and varying conditions on the servers regarding list download, is to use QFAI_link . A full list of servers, or a custom list if necessary, can be managed easily.

Also at the above link, for non-QFAI users, is a complete CC.ini that can be downloaded to insure a full server list is in the QCharts/QFeed application directory.

Bottom line of all the above blah blah...it's prudent to use QFAI.

Thanks Larry. Never figured out how to use QFAI but the server connections did work the next day.

If you wish to pursue QFAI, please contact me off-list. It can mean the difference between being stuck or running on any given day.
