or is, like moi, getting....
"not authorized to view this page...HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden".

Oddly, I can access a subfolder OK at...

http://www.quote.com/qcdownload/QChartsUpdate/

Hey Bob,

Yep, I recall the previous outage. FWIW, I was fishing here for whether or not the current episode was systemic to all users rather than a few. I, and others, never did experience the problem before. This is a first time occurrence for me.

Anyhoo...the bottom line is that someone at Quote.com needs to get it fixed, get the machine's (a couple or all of them) settings straightened out.

So...Jay, or Support....can ya provide feedback that Ops is on the case?

We are working on relocating the files that were stored in that web directory to another location that is more secure. Having a directory open in that fashion was a security risk and had to be closed. I'll reply back to this thread once the files are once again available.

We've decided to open this directory back up as the security risk is minimal. We will eventually relocate these files to a more appropriate space, but until then they are now available.

Mucho thanks. I can access the directory now. FYI, I often refer folks to that site for How Stuff Works info that's documented only in the What'sNew documents. And QLinkBeta2003.
