  • Re: QCharts 6 month update

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Two questions:
1- For users of the Qcharts5.1 or older would it work in the future?
2- Would the historical intraday still go back 6yrs in the past?
3- Do we have to upgrade to 6.0?

    Thanks

5.1 will continue to work once QCharts 6.0 is released, so no 6.0 will not be a forced upgrade. There will be a point, likely sometime in the middle or last half of 2007, where QCharts users will need to upgrade to a version that runs on the eSignal network, however we should have nearly all (if not all) of the features ported over by then.

The intraday, historical data running back to April of 1997 will not be imported into the eSignal network at the time of the 6.0 release, however we have engineers working on doing just that. We are hopeful to have the extended data in the eSignal network sometime in the first half of 2007.

Thanks for the quick reply. It is a contrast to the no phone support or the rude people you get if you get through.

The main thing is that the 6yrs intraday data be available in the eSignal network at the point of the switch next year.

Once again appreciate the information you are providing in this forum.

If you ever have a negative experience with our Support Dept, please let us know about it. You can email [email protected] to reach the Sup/Mgr team directly.

        Thank you.

Edit Regarding wait times, October has been unusually busy on the phones but it appears to be settling down this week so far and we should return to much shorter response times.
