  • QFAI Server List Out of date?

Apologies if I missed an update or two. I use QFAI to select servers for QC. However, in the last two days every server displayed in QFAI Server Selector shows error and has a red X indicating no ping returns (Bad IP or Hostname).

I edited the file manually just using IP (numeric) addresses and they ping fine (also use MultiPing which also shows no probs.) I tried to download the latest server list from Dynastore but got an error there. When I restarted QFAI it seemed to successfully update the Servers.txt file with the server names, but none of them are pinging. (the update took a long time.)

I am using v2005.03.23.0 of QFAI.

Anyone else having this problem? If there is a later version can someone point me to it (and the server list)? I know all this will be moot when we are using eSignal feed, but for now it is a little annoying.

Has the DNS expired for names like cc-18a.mia.finance.lycos.com?

    Thanks in advance.

QFAI Server List Out of date?

    Hi T,

    [Edited changes]

I'm not seeing a change in the IP names/IP numbers mapping in DNS. At least on my ISP DNS database (Earthlink). However, I did see what you describe in Ping&Select. Humm...scratching head?? Just didn't see an issue, as you mention, in either MultiPing or Pingplotter.

This fixed it for me, got the Dynastore pinger in QFAI Ping&Select option going OK.

    1. Start QFAI and on the main toolbar click Setup>Refresh IP Addresses. This will download a Servers.txt file and do DNS lookup.
    2. Give Ping&Select another try.

The download of Servers.txt from Dynastore pinger is kaput. DB(Mr. Dynastore) discontinued the Dynastore website where that was located.
