Shortcut Keys

Hi,
I've searched but have not been able to find a list of shortcut keys that QCharts supports besides:
Home key
Insert key
Delete key
Cntr + drag for overlay.

Is there a list of these somewhere?

Hey Steve,

Sounds like you may have already taken a trip thru the file "Tips.txt" in your QCharts folder. If not, there's some items here and there in the document regarding what you're after.

Below is some info on Chart Scrolling lifted from an old "What'sNew" document. These What'sNew docs are the delta of info on new function over the QCharts>Help info.

Improvement: Synchronized Chart Scrolling

The key sequences for chart scrolling have been extended, so that all charts can be scrolled with a single command.. Here is a set of scrolling commands that use the keyboard and/or mouse wheel.

<leftArrow> scroll SELECTED chart leftward one SMALL unit
<rightArrow> scroll SELECTED chart rightward one SMALL unit
<upArrow> scroll SELECTED chart upward one SMALL unit
<downArrow> scroll SELECTED chart downward one SMALL unit

Here's one that I don't think is obvious or easy to find the document or post(?) where it was mentioned.

To create a new QCharts window of the same size.
Click the window you wish to duplicate in size to bring it into focus.

<Ctrl><alt>click Icon on QCharts Toolbar.
Icon's being New Chart, New Quotesheet, New T&S, etc

The format will be the default format, not necessarily the format of the selected window. If the same format is desired for the new chart as the copied chart, then before <ctrl><alt>clickIcon do a R-click on the window in focus and do Layout>Set Default. Or any variations on this theme to attain desired format.

Some time back, I had requested that Jay add the Esignal Tools>Customize Keyboard feature to QCharts. This feature allows you to assign a Shortcut Key of your choosing to virtually any function within the platform. Really cool.

I hope Jay did not forget about it.

I haven't forgotten about the customization of the keyboard entries, and I have it on our to-do list for a future update.
