  • Chart Problems 13 August 2007

I am having difficulty getting bars for most futures symbols for the trade date of 13 August 2007. Since tech support isn't available for another hour (well after many markets have opened), I thought I'd report the problem here.

The problem seems most severe with the CME, which is completely shut off. Others such as Nymex/Comex got a late start on Sunday night but are currently charting. However, there are gaps where data is missing due to QCharts server problems. The CBOT seems ok from what I can see.

Would anyone care to fix the problem? Thanks.

    No Data on CME futures

seem to have the same problem here.

Tried all the usual fixes, restart the platform,
delete the temp folder. Nothing seems to
    work.

No time and sales data, no all sessions charts, no
    daily bar.

But third party software is showing the new daily
    candle.

    Strange!

Same problem here, gang. Daily candle is visible, no time & sales data for any other chart. I'm using the 6.0 beta, for the record.

I've e-mailed tech support as well. Let's keep this thread up until a resolution is found.

      Peace.

Switching to eSignal feed (verses Continum) resolved for me.

          Peace.

The e-signal feed is getting futures but not indexes. Are you able to get spx.x 60 minute or daily? Thanks.

              why can one server

have the data and most of the others
              not have the data?

My Interactive Brokers charts have worked
from the open, and are always running as
Q Charts stalls and looks for a "faster server".

But the faster servers has no CME data.

              This is very frustrating!

You need to use QCharts 6.0.

This is indeed very frustrating. I noticed that the CME was not working last night soon after the market opened. It's now been many hours that the feed is not functional; this really is not acceptable especially if you consider that we're still charged for the (non-existant) feed.

Thanks rickty. I am running 6.0 now, but still no CME e-minis data .

BTW, what is the new symbol for CME e-mini Russell 2000? I noticed that the QCharts 6.0 symbol for YM has changed to YM U7. Can anyone tell me the new symbol for ER2?

It has been such a frustrating day.

I believe eSignal uses the symbol AB for the Russell 2000. So the current contract would be "AB U7"; or you could use their continuous contract "AB #F" (I believe).

                        yuio,

At Beta 6.0 login, be sure and select Data Source as eSignal rather than Continuum.

The Beta uses eSignal symbology. If loading a QCharts V5 workspace, most but not all syms will translate into eSignal form.
ES07U becomes ES U7, for example.

Russell 2000 emini doesn't translate if I recall correctly.
                        Here's eSignal symbol...
                        AB U7 (front month)
                        AB #F (continuous contract)
