This post is regarding 6.0.1.2.
The holiday today, Jan 21, 2008 is a typical Monday holiday for CME. There is a partial Globex trading session running from the usual Sunday 18:00 ET start time until 11:30 ET Monday, with the trading being for a "booked" trade date of Tuesday.
There should be no Daily Bar for Monday, since it's a Holiday. See annotated screenshot illustrating the overwrite of Friday's Daily Bar on Jan 18, 2008 with today's Globex action. An accurate chart would have a Daily bar building for Tuesday the 22nd, and it would resume updating at 16:30(1) this afternoon when the Tuesday trade date resumes.

(1) The CME holiday schedule clearly indicates a Globex "Regular Open" or resumption for Tuesday trade date, which would be 16:30. And the MktHours time-mapper is coded for that. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the resumption later this afternoon will be at 18:00. There are frequent cases where Exchanges will say one thing ahead of time, yet do something different in reality. Time will tell <grin>.
