  • Larry Marchman where are you

    Ok,

For the past week and one half I have had to put up with QCharts 6.0.2 either pegging my CPU or just plain "Not Responding" giving me a total white screen. I have a dual core, 64 bit, XP-64 Professional computer.

Is there any solution to this problem?

    LOL
Not really LOL, it's not funny.

There has been a HUGE spike in overall #trades during the recent market turmoil. The increased number of ticks hitting your system by definition requires more horsepower to process.

Your workspace needs to go on a diet. Reduce the number of syms in the quotesheets for starters.

Consider turning off Study Label display in right-most pane of Chart, or any study labels that update at furious rate. And eliminate fields you may have in quotesheets/chart snapshots that update at furious rates...like TicVol. Just look at what ya gots to see hyper active fields updating at high rates thereby incurring a greater %cpu to redraw screen (GUI hit).
