Importing Default Settings From Previous Versions

I would like to see an import tool that would let me import the tool bar settings and color palette from previous versions. Every time I install the latest version I have to retweak the tools and defaults / study settings. Copying the User folder(s), etc. to the new version's directory works OK, but it's a bit clunky. Why not just attach the user defaults to the workspace? That way when the new version opens the existing workspace the charting tool default line settings, my custom study settings, and colors are brought along.
