  • Dragg-able Windows

May have been covered; are we working on being able to drag a window outside of the Qcharts workspace?
Yes - I have my workspace sized across multiple monitors but would like to be able to have the ability to move a window outside of that space.

Also - Try opening a new Quote Sheet or Options Montage while your workspace is stretched across mult. monitors; the new window is as wide as the workspace and needs to be manually reduced in size every time.

    Hey Ed,

Regarding the size of a new window, there's a keyboard trick to somewhat control the initial size of a new window.

    1. Click on a window within the workspace that's the size (or close to) that you would like the new window to be.
The window type (chart, quotesheet, etc) does not matter. It's the size that matters.
    2. Press&Hold Ctrl+Alt.
    3. Then click an icon on the QCharts Toolbar. Any icon...new chart, new quotesheet, whatever.

The new window will be the same size as the window that was active/in focus before Ctrl+Alt>click new window.
On my system, the new window appears on my left-most monitor, even if the selected/active window was on another monitor.
Again, window types do not have to match. It's all about window size.

      Larry -

Thanks a bunch. You should publish a 'tips and tricks' manual.

If you only had the time.
