It sounds like you may not have the President's Day versions of the mkthours.ini and mkthoursesignal.ini files. Try shutting down QCharts and deleting these two files from your QCharts directory. Then restart QCharts and see if the gaps disappear.
Hope this fix works for you.Brian

I have restarted Qcharts several times to no avail; have shut down the computer for 5 minutes and restarted, still no luck the holiday gap remains in the daily and interday charts.
Never did find the mkthours.ini and mkthoursesignal.ini files in my QCHARTS directory, did find the .inf files of the same name.
I have deleted the mkthours.inf and mkthoursesignal.inf files and they were replaced with new files identical to the old files having the same date modified of 1/13/2010 8:21 PM and the same sizes as before 193 KB and 38 KB respectivly.
Problem persists.
Suggestions?

The MktHours file should keep this from happening. There is no "ini" version of this file, only .inf and .tab generated by the eSig servers.
Can you try this?
1- Log out of QCharts and let the DM close.
2- Navigate to the QCharts install folder, C:\Program Files\QCharts\
3- Delete the file MktHours.inf from there.
4- While you're inside of C:\Program Files\QCharts\ - find the folder called "SigText" and double click it to open it.
5- Inside of the SigText folder, find the file called MktHours.tab and delete it.
6- Close the Windows Explorer window that you have been navigating all of this in.
7- Wait two minutes before proceeding.
8- Go log on to QCharts and open a workspace. Let it populate. Then exit and log off of QCharts.
9- Wait a minute. Log on a second time (important).
Open your workspace.
Is it better now?

Yes, the only exception is that the bottom block is grayed out and can't be checked. We discussed this when I installed Qcharts last year using your procedure for Vista and apparently you don't get this choice if you are the administrator and only user.

Finally up and running after doing a clean and scrub per Bill's procedure; then reinstalling Qcharts and starting it twice.
It will be nice if the program becoms a little more stable in the future and can load it's own updates without operator intervention.
