I have Qcharts version 6.2 working fine on my desktop, but not on my laptop. It worked fine when I first installed on my laptop last Saturday night. But, when I logged again later Saturday and again this morning, the charts do not show. Please help.

Charts on my Laptop

I decided to reinstall 6.2, so I renamed the previous installation "old download" and reinstalled 6.2 in the default folder "Qcharts". I started the program and the charts showed up. To my surprise, my current workspace came up as well as all my quote sheets and layout, even though the new folder "Qcharts" did not contain the info in its subfolders. It seems the program was picking up my latest choices from the folder "old download". What is more amazing is that I copied my subfolders into the "qcharts" folder and deleted the the old folder, and I was back with the problem of no charts. So, again I repeated what I have done in the first place and everything is working fine. Of course I left the old download folder as is. Any explanation?

Ahmed,
I'm assuming that you're running Win7 or Vista. And what with virtualization of files and the need to run QCharts in compatibility mode and you having multiple installs of QCharts and manual renaming of folders and whatnot, it's possible that the files that contain pointers to other files have gone out of synch.
One thing to consider is completely removing (a full clean and scrub) QCharts, and then installing a single good QCharts. Here's a comprehensive procedure that Bill Bledsoe wrote and put at his website. Don't worry, there's steps to save your existing workspaces/layouts/etc.
