  • QLink and OpenOffice Calc

Anyone know if QLink is compatible with the OpenOffice Calc spreadsheet application? This program is freeware that is very similar to Excel and does support DDE links.

After a little trial and error I think I have it figured out.

For anyone interested, following is an example of how to manually enter a DDE formula in a range of cells:

    Excel Version:
    =Qlink|Bars!'IBM,D,5,OHLC'

    OpenOffice Calc Version:
    =DDE("Qlink";"Bars";"IBM,D,5,OHLC")

press <Ctrl><Shift><Enter>, just as in Excel (make sure you highlighted a range of cells before entering the formula).

This is working for me so far.
