  • Qlink Issue

    I have used Qlink on my older computer with no problems. I recently purchased a new desktop and I can't use qlink on the new system. When I open my excel workbook, qlink asks to update links, when I do it crashes excel and does not respond. I moved the spread sheet file, and from esignal I moved the pages file and the formulas file. Would any of these interfere with it working on the new system? I have tried the sample page from qlink and a blank worksheet with the same problem. I have removed and re-downloaded qlink. One interesting note is that in the user guide it states that qlink will launch excel during the install but it does not when I do it. By the way, the excel version I am using is the same as the old computer. Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hello John,

    A couple of questions;

    What version of Windows are you using on the new computer?

    What version of Excel?

    When you launch QLink Does it at that time launch the Data Manager and the QLink Connection (The QLink connector displays in the System Tray as a Green Circle and and QL)?

    IF you launch the Excel Sample (SigTools) in the eSignal Folder does Excel freeze up with this application too?

    Thanks in advanced

      QLink Issue

      Hi, I am not sure if this is related. I have a couple of large excel sheets using lots of command buttons, and tables. Since downloading Qlink on Friday last - I have had two catastrophic errors in my excel programs....saying object errors etc;
      The only thing i have done differently is added Qlink.
      I dont really know enough about excel so I have sent this off to a friend of mine to look at.
      Is there any other issues, or do you think these are totally unrelated?
      thanks.
