Treo 650 sound/volume issue

The "general" sound on my treo (keypad and touch screen sounds) is set to "off" . But after quitting the quotrek app the sound is always switched back on.

Then the next time I use Quotrek and then exit, the volume increases one notch!

Is there a fix for this?
