We've just posted Version 20040130b on the QuoTrek beta download page.

You can download the latest version of QuoTrek beta by going to...

Follow the instructions to install the needed software to your Pocket PC, Palm or RIM BlackBerry.

The new version includes changes made to the fields category.

We found a problem on the server side and in order to maximize the speed of the QuoTrek the production version of QuoTrek will be limited to the following fields:

Last, Open, High, Low, Previous, Time, 52Week High, 52Week low, Chg %, Chg Today, Change, Date, NAV, Volume, Company Name

We also made an installer for the BlackBerry, the new installer will place the files necessary into a single directory on your computer. Once this installation is complete, you'll then have to load them into your BlackBerry using the Application Loader within the Desktop Manager. If you already have a previous beta version of QuoTrek on your Blackberry, you should remove it before loading this newer version.

            John,

Previously, feedback on QuoTrek was handled through the Beta Reporting process prior to initial release. What is your prefererred method for the submittal of user issues and ideas?

              Hi,

I had an early version of Quotrek for the Treo loaded and running for a while. I then loaded the new beta for the Treo, after first deleting QuoTrek, QuoTrekF and SuperWaba. I suspect I didn't need to delete QuoTrekF - and that it would have been best to leave it, but that is another matter.

Since doing the upgrade, I can no longer log into QuoTrek.

When trying, I get the following messages:

              Connect to qt.esignal.com

The above displays for maybe a minute and then:

              Feed: disconnect. Server disc

Appears. So I rinsed and reapeated, only to get the same errors when trying to log in. Obviously either I messed up on how to do the deinstall, the build itself is bad, or the install script is bad.

I suspect the error is in how I deinstalled the previous release.

              Any suggestions or pointers?

              Thanks!

              Garth

When I loaded a newer version on the Treo 600 I deleted QuoTrek, QuoTrekF, SuperWaba and SWNatives and had no problems. Not sure if that will help, but that looks like the only thing I did differently. I'll ask around and see if their is anything else you should do.

                JohnB

SWNatives.prc: contains the implementation for the native methods (E.G.: Graphics.drawLine)

                  Hi John,

I contacted another developer directly and they did something on your end to my account that seems to have fixed everything.

                  Thanks for the reply!

A moving average of a moving average can't be done on QuoTrek. You'd have to use eSignal Advanced Charts with eSignal Formula Script (EFS) language.

Just to be clear, I can't run an efs on the Quotek either, right?

Is there any programming capability for the Quotrek system?

Correct, no EFS on QuoTrek. At this time there is no programming capability for the Quotrek system.
