in global server under the edit data tab, the time frames include tick, 1 minute 5 minute,etc. is ther a way to make a 3 minute chart?

GlobalServer only stores resolutions of 1 Tick, 1 Minute, 5 Minute and 1 Day. However you can chart any compression (ie interval) you want and TradeStation will use the highest resolution available to create the chart. In other words if you create a 3 Minute chart TS will use the 1 Minute resolution but if you create a 15 minute chart (and are saving also 5 Minute resolution) than TS will use the 5 minute resolution to build the chart
