I'm having trouble with tradestation not incrementing the bar (daily or weekly) when using forex signals from e-signal - in particular eur a0-fx

Has anyone else seen this?

I've set up as the article saysl however, I'm still not getting new bars. Do I need the plug-in to get real-time data?

You do not need the Plugin to retrieve real time data. The Plugin is only used to retrieve historical data.
Make sure that you are both downloading and plotting Bid Record (which will update in real time) and not Trade Record which will not update.

I'm storing - 1 tick bid record, 1 minute trade record and 1 day trade record. How do I plot the bid record versus the trade record?
