  • Unable to download any data

I was using the old version and had to re-install TS2000i. After reading the posts I downloaded the new version. While the installation was successful, I am unable to download any data. I have tried indexes, futures and stocks. My Esignal account is fine, as I run it all the time.

Any help trouble shooting theis would be helpful.

    Thanks
    Mike

Did you run the Setup Wizard after reinstalling TS2K (and prior to installing the new version of the Plugin)?

Alex, I ran the setup wizard, then tried to install the original version which gave the error that I had to update to the latest version of Esignal. Then I found the new plugin and just installed at that point.

Did you also install the new version of eSignal?
Other things that come to mind would be to check if GlobalServer is Online and if that is the case then see if the individual symbols in the Portfolio are Connected and also check the IP address in the Data Manager.

Alex, I have the latest version of Esignal. Also the symbols are connected and updating in real time. Just can't get history. Every time I tried it gives me just a handful of data like 5 to 10.

The biuld for the data manager is 7.6 build 273 3/30/04.
          The IP Address is CM*.esignal.com

          Any other thoughts?

I think I got it wrong. I thought the icon was a lock and it is a person. I guess it shows I am online...sorry for the confusion

At this point I cannot come up with any reason as to why it would not be working.
I am aware that you said that you were using the latest version of eSignal but just to be on the safe side is that 7.6 build 636a? Also have you tried uninstalling the Plugin and reinstalling it?

                Latest

Alex, I do have the latest build and have uninstalled and reinstalled without any success. If there a plugin biuld that could at least give us an error log so we can troubleshoot this?

                Thanks

                  Alex,

I think that termn8er's problem is not just a particular case. I have the SAME exact problem and I know another user who has it too. It is more common!
What's new in my case is that the plug in worked the very first few days then stopped working.
When I try to download the data, it shows that it "connects", "downloads", "..complete"...etc
                  but NOTHING actually gets downloaded.
I am it using to retrieve the future e-mini data.
I have the same system, esignal, account..(as mentioned in this thread)etc..
and followed ALL the Q & A , correction, update ...etc of these thread.... in vain!

(I also, uninstalled TradeStation and the Plug In, then reinstalled them back.... still, the problem never get solved)

I assume we are talking about build 4081 of the TS plugin, correct? Did either of you experience this problem on the previous version?

                    Thanks.

In my case, yes, I use the build 4081.
Maybe, I should download and install the older version and see what happens.
                      I'll let you know

                      Thank you

                        Both Versions Fail

I have tried both versions. Uninstalled, installed, no luck at all. There is nothing more for me to try. I have uninstalled TS2ki and reinstalled....etc. etc.

Very strange, especially since so many other users are working OK.

Please post as much as you can about your PC's and we'll have an engineer try to figure this out. For ex, CPU, RMA, o/s, IE version, etc.

If there are other users having this problem, please post here and provide the relevant info ( when it started, versions, etc)

                          Thanks.

                            final success

After uncountable number of uninstalls and re-installs, I went back to the original version and installed it, and I got it to work. I can not believe how much time was spent, on this, bit it works now.

                            End of story.....for now.....

Can you tell us what build the "original" was? Had you tried the most recent (4035?)?

                              Thanks.
