  • Pivot Lines and Pivot Median

Pivot Lines mark the highest high and lowest low of the recent price movement. The Pivot Median is the midpoint between the pivot high and pivot low.

The Pivot Lines help us visualize price breakouts and areas of congestion. Prices "breakout" when they move up through the Upper Pivot Line or down through the Lower Pivot Line. Prices are congested when the price is running within the Pivot Lines. The Pivot Median can be used to measure the depth of a pullback.

The Pivot Lines will help you see when the price has moved out of it's range and can also be used to identify exits when price moves end and the market turns.

if wave 2 is simple than wave 4 is complex, so in type 1 trade how can we filter out wave 4 complex to avoid trade in eod scanner.

      Wave question

      Hello Harsvpat1,
Thank you for your interest in TurnSignal.

It seems that you are applying wave theory to the chart on our recent thread about our Pivot Lines and Pivot Median indicators. As we are not specifically trained in wave theory, please allow us to reply in terms of the TurnSignal indicators.

While the TurnSignal indicator clearly shows the changes in direction of the price bars, the other indicators in our package can and should be used to help you qualify entries. We look for the alignment of multiple TurnSignal indicators in one direction or the other in order to enter a trade. One can often filter out changes of direction that show a lack of momentum by using the other indicators. The fourth wave, to which you refer, did not align sufficiently to the downside before the price changed direction and started up again. This can be seen by going to

and going to the bottom of the page to view the chart showing all the TurnSignal indicators together.

As with any new strategy or technique, it is important to practice with the TurnSignal indicators and to understand how the indicators work. For this reason, We offer a 30-day free trial and live chat sessions Tues-Thurs at 9:15 Eastern time to help you get started. If you go to

you can follow the simple instructions to enter the room.

We hope you'll take the time to join us or let us know an alternative time when we can make an appointment to meet in our chat room.

      Best regards,
      Jim
