Pivot Lines mark the highest high and lowest low of the recent price movement. The Pivot Median is the midpoint between the pivot high and pivot low.
The Pivot Lines help us visualize price breakouts and areas of congestion. Prices "breakout" when they move up through the Upper Pivot Line or down through the Lower Pivot Line. Prices are congested when the price is running within the Pivot Lines. The Pivot Median can be used to measure the depth of a pullback.
The Pivot Lines will help you see when the price has moved out of it's range and can also be used to identify exits when price moves end and the market turns.
