  • Daily CCI setup

    Yesterday woodie presented a daily cci setup, basically selling at a pivot point if the cci went down thru +100 yesterday or buying at a pivot if the cci went up thru -100 yesterday.

    Candidates for analysis can be seen on various websites which show cci scans.

    Has an efs been developed to identify those opportunities visually on a daily chart?

    Based on the rules woodie used the other day, I noticed that the 20 period cci hlc/3 on es #f, d crossed down thru the +100 level tonite.

    I beleive this is a possible woodie short set up on Friday if the price crosses below R1 and/or the pivot.

      Interesting developement on this trade setup....

      The es opened above the pivot and moved higher, the trade was never triggered.

      Better trades are coming, for sure.

      CCI is back above +100, so I will be watching for a move down below +100 for the next signal.

        Two dailly cci trades set up today, on the AB and ES

        Both moved down thru the +100 level, setting up a short at the pivot as calculated in the morning.

        Here is the ES picture, AB coming next

            Can you please set out the Woodie rules for this type of trade?

              Momentum,

                Momentum

                FYI, todays signal to short at the ES pivot of 1197 was a good signal.

                The maximum drawdown was 2 ticks and the maximum gain was 5.25 pts, so far.

                The AB trade did not trigger yet, because the AB pivot point at 629.5 has not been reached.

                These numbers refer to a cci20, hlc/3, pivot = (yestH + yestL + 2 * todayO) / 4 on the (ab h5, 405) and (es h5, 405) chart, with a 9:30 - 16:15 time template.

                  woodie pivots

                  The woodie pivots used in this CCI/Woodie system are pivots calc my way, they are programed in the the woodie cci trading panel. Available for free download on eSignal central file share.There is a difference so please use the correct pivot and cci settings.

                    woodie

                    Aren't the pivots you use the following?

                    pivot=(high(-1)+low(-1)+2*open())/4
                    R1=pivot*2-low(-1);
                    S1=pivot*2-high(-1);
                    R2=pivot+R1-S1;
                    S2=pivot-R1+S1;
                    R3=pivot+R2-S2;
                    S3=pivot-R2+S2;

                    I thought this is what I read on the site recently? And I thought someone mentioned this on hotcomm a few weeks ago too.

                    What is the link to your trading panel? Please.

                          New trade signal to go long on a cross of the 6e #f pivot on Monday morning. Sample chart is shown below of the cci20, hlc3 for illustrative purposes. Remember the woodie pivots use the 820 open, not necessarily the open on the , D chart shown below.

                          PS - the russel trade never triggered yesterday and the es trade was a good one.
