  • CCI Set Ups

Woodie, when you're looking at set ups and you have all the conditions for a trade except 1, how long do you wait for the last condition before you go onto another trade.

This may not be a good example. I'm pretty new to CCI trading, but I think you understand my question. For example, say that you see a perfect ghost. The right shoulder has just completed and the CCI has just barely dropped below the neckline. The color on the zero line is red, so the ghost is with the trend. How long would you wait for the zero line to turn green before you would go on to the next trade?

    ghost

I do not use lsma as a nuance for the ghost. A ghost is a ghost very visual and neckline break is entry.

OK, then my example was bad. In Jeff's paper the Ghost is listed as counter-trend. Would you just use the 6-bars above/below for trend determination?

In cases, where the lsma is used as criteria for a setup and everything else is in place, how long would you wait on the lsma before passing on the trade? Actually, my question is how long would you wait for the last condition (whatever it is) before passing on the trade? If the other conditions were good enough would you just take the trade and not wait?

The main reason I'm asking is because this seem to happening to the setups I'm seeing -- a lot. I have everything but 1 condition.

Yes i use 6 bars for trend right now not 1 hour from now...and use it for zlr tlb which is trend trades....lsma as a nuance..please read article by jeff and observe in room as thats the best way to learn.

Thanks, Woodie. I've doing both. I don't really feel that comfortable with CCI trades yet. This morning the moderator used the lsma (zero line turning green without 6 bars to the upside) on a ZLR and said that the green line was criteria not to get into the trade. The ZLR would have been with the trend. I think I've heard that a couple of other times also - which is part of my confusion.
