  • IB-Plugin: Order-transmitting takes 4 seconds

    Hi,
it take 3-4 seconds from pressing the order-button in the pluggin till the order is in the "Api" page at the TWS. Ich i press 2 buttons "Buy at bid" and another button next second "Buy at market" e.g. , i tekes 10 seconds, till the two orders are transmitted. It`s to slow. Do you have different experiences?
I wonder: In this 4 seconds the CPU-usa jumps to 40-50 % from 5. I have an Athlon 2800. Can`t believe, that this simple transaction spend a lot of power.

    Bügeleisen,

We haven't had any reports of latency with the order passing from eSignal to TWS. As this is taking a significant amount of time to register in TWS, I would begin by deleting the OBCIBDLL.dll file located in the eSignal directory. Once deleted, you'll want to re-install the IB Plug-in. During this process, you'll want to make sure that eSignal is closed to insure a clean un-install / re-install. As an FYI, the OBCIBDLL.dll file is located within the OBC folder. Hope this helps.
