Is it possible to send orders to IB TWS

Is it possible to send orders to IB TWS using EFS APIs? If so, what are these APIs and how to use them? Is there anyone really using these APIs? I am not asking those methods using third party software such as dynaorder, etc. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. How can I trade futures using these APIs? How to map the symbols in eSignal to those in IB TWS? What is the possible values for "Route" field? The online document of these APIs is just too short and imcomplete. Will these APIs be enhanced in eSignal V7.9?

You should be able to trade futures. You need to set up the IB symbology. Visit this post for more details. As for the route, it's defaulting to SMART (also discussed in the other thread). I don't know what all the possible route options are. I've searched IB's webhelp, but have not found a comprehensive list. There is some good info on routing in there.

The Generic Broker feature is going to get some attention in a future release. Once these improvements have been completed we'll add some new documentation and examples.

will we have the possibility to send bracketorders to TWS in 8.0?
Brackets are a main part in my trading strategy.
I do only set brackets.
